Here are the questions that I’m frequently asked

1. What is a Gentle Sleep Consultant, and how is my approach different?

As a Gentle Sleep Consultant, I help families establish healthy, independent sleep habits without ever leaving babies to cry alone.

My approach at Sweet Dreams Little Ones is responsive, nurturing, and backed by evidence. Unlike rigid "cry-it-out" methods or generic online advice, I create a bespoke sleep plan tailored specifically to your child’s unique temperament, your family's routine, and their emotional needs. You will never feel left in the dark—I guide you step-by-step so you can make gentle changes with absolute confidence.

2. Do I use the "Cry It Out" (CIO) method?

No, I never use or advocate for Cry It Out.

I believe in being present, responsive, and reassuring while you teach your little one how to sleep a new way. While babies may naturally express resistance and protest when learning new sleep habits, I give you practical, hands-on tools to comfort and soothe them throughout the entire journey, so they always feel safe and secure.

3. How quickly will you start seeing improvements in your child’s sleep?

Most families I work with start seeing meaningful, positive improvements within just 3 to 7 days.

Because every baby is unique, the exact timeline depends on your specific goals, your baby’s age, and consistent implementation. With my daily 1-to-1 coaching and real-time tweaks to your plan, you can expect to see calmer bedtimes, longer sleep stretches, and fewer night waking within the very first week.

4. What ages of babies and children do I work with?

I work with babies from 3 months - up to 6 years old.

My support is carefully adapted to your child's developmental stage:

  • Babies (4–12 months): Navigating the 4-month sleep regression, night-waking, bedtime settling, co sleeping, structure with daytime sleep, cot naps, dummy dependency, and nap transitions.

  • Toddlers & Pre-schoolers (1–5 years): Handling bedtime battles, early morning wake-ups, room transitions, co sleeping, split nights and night fears.

5. Can we still work together if you are breastfeeding or co-sleeping?

Yes, absolutely! You do not need to give up breastfeeding or change your family setup to achieve better sleep.

I respect and support all safe feeding and sleeping choices. Your custom plan will align with your personal family goals—whether you want to maintain night feeds, transition gently out of co-sleeping, move your baby into their own room, or simply help them resettle happily in their cot.

6. What actually happens during my free discovery call?

My discovery call is a friendly, no obligation free 30-minute chat where we talk through your little one's current sleep struggles and see how I can help.

During our call, I’ll take time to understand your little one’s sleep patterns, discuss what you’ve tried so far, and recommend the best support package for your family. It is a great opportunity for us to connect and ensure my gentle philosophy feels right for you.

7. What is included in my 1-to-1 personalised sleep packages?

When you work with me, you get a full sleep analysis, a custom step-by-step plan, and active daily support.

Depending on the package level you choose, our work together includes:

  1. In-Depth Sleep Assessment: Reviewing your baby's current routines, environment, feeding, and temperament.

  2. Bespoke Sleep Plan: A clear plan that I shall talk you through each day to progress forwards

  3. 1-to-1 Video Consultation: Walking you through the first few days / nights of the plan

  4. Continuous Daily Support: Ongoing guidance via WhatsApp messages and voice notes. All of your questions answered on the spot

  5. Support Calls: Every 2-4 days you will have a coaching call with me to ensure you know what you are doing, when you are doing it and I shall walk you through the next few days / nights of the plan

8. Do I offer remote sleep coaching across the UK and internationally?

Yes! I support families across Surrey, London the wider UK, and internationally.

Thanks to video consultations, digital sleep logs, and continuous messaging via WhatsApp and email, my remote coaching is just as effective as an in-person visit. You get my full hand-holding support from the comfort of your own home, no matter where you are located.

9. What happens if your baby gets sick, starts teething, or hits a regression?

I will always help you adjust your plan to accommodate temporary disruptions like illness, teething, or developmental milestones.

When these moments happen, our primary focus shifts to offering your baby maximum comfort and care. Once your little one is feeling better, I will guide you step-by-step on how to get back on track without losing the fantastic progress you’ve made.

10. How do you know if it’s the right time to work with me?

If exhaustion is taking a physical or emotional toll on your health, relationship, or daily well-being, it is the right time to reach out.

If you feel anxious in the lead-up to bedtime, rely on exhausting sleep crutches (like continuous rocking or contact napping just to get a short break), or feel overwhelmed by conflicting online advice, working with me gives you the clarity, structure, and 1-to-1 reassurance you need to get your family sleeping again.
